Job Description

DRS (DevelopmentAid Recruitment Solutions) is looking for a a Program Officer to support multiple components donor-funded project. The Program Officer will report to the Program Manager to execute high quality management of programming implementation.

Responsibilities: As a Project Support Specialist, your role involves assisting senior staff and project managers in planning, executing, and evaluating project activities. You will collaborate with stakeholders, implement monitoring and evaluation measures, and support the development of technical guidance and documents. Additionally, you'll stay informed about the latest communicable disease surveillance guidelines, participate in conferences and workshops, and oversee subcontracting and consultancy agreements.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist senior staff and project managers in planning, developing, and executing project activities.
  • Implement monitoring and evaluation strategies to ensure project milestones and deliverables are met.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on project design, implementation, and monitoring.
  • Support senior technical staff in developing technical documents and training materials.
  • Stay updated on communicable disease surveillance guidelines and participate in relevant conferences and workshops.
  • Coordinate and monitor subcontracting, consultancy agreements, and other contracts.
  • Participate in training, supervision, and research activities.
  • Assist with other project-related tasks as needed.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Background in education or public health with an advanced degree or relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in public health.
  • Familiarity with infectious diseases and experience working with local governmental bodies is preferred.
  • Understanding of the Vietnam health system and experience with health program implementation.
  • Ability to work effectively with government agencies and private sector partners.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in multicultural teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
